Terms of Service - Shalev

Last updated: 17 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Shalev app and service ("Shalev", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Shalev.

1. Who we are

Niv Chen, Israel.
Contact: niv.chen@gmail.com.

2. What Shalev does

Shalev is a personal-assistant app. It turns important emails and reminders into a short list of items that need your attention, sends you notifications, can prepare email drafts and send email you explicitly approve, archive or label mail (inbox cleanup), add calendar events, set reminders, track recurring subscriptions and invoices, answer questions, and — with your permission — read your Gmail, Calendar and Drive and use your location to help you. Features depend on which permissions you grant and your plan.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

4. Subscriptions, trials and billing

Shalev offers paid plans (Plus and Pro) with usage limits, and may offer a free trial. Where subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store, billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple under your Apple ID, and Apple's terms apply; manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. A free trial (where offered) converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Plan limits (such as monthly assistant-usage caps and daily message limits) apply and are shown in the app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use Shalev unlawfully; attempt to access other users' data; disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or probe the service; use it to send spam or harmful content; or use it to process data you have no right to process. We may suspend or limit accounts that abuse the service or exceed fair-use limits.

6. Your content and data

You retain ownership of your content (items, messages, emails, photos you provide). You grant us the limited right to process it solely to operate the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you provide and for reviewing anything the assistant prepares for you before acting on it.

7. The assistant is a tool, not an authority

Shalev uses AI, which can be wrong, incomplete, or misinterpret a request.

  • It may make mistakes. Always review important outputs (dates, amounts, email drafts, calendar entries) before relying on or sending them.
  • It only sends email that you explicitly approve (or the monthly expense summary to your own inbox) — it never sends to a third party without your approval. Review drafts, dates, and amounts before approving.
  • Shalev does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for a professional.
  • Navigation, transit, and timing information is best-effort and may be inaccurate; use your judgment.

8. Third-party services

Shalev integrates with Google (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), Apple (sign-in, notifications, payments), and others. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and access may change or break if a provider changes its platform.

9. Availability

We aim to keep Shalev available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shalev is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements or that outputs will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or missed deadlines arising from your use of Shalev.

12. Termination

You may stop using Shalev and delete your account at any time (email us to request deletion). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or misuse. On termination, your right to use the service ends; data handling follows the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence remain unaffected.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
